What's Included

Every winterization follows the manufacturer's procedure for your engine, not a one-size-fits-all checklist.

Boats & Pontoons
Outboards, sterndrives (I/O), and inboards from Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo Penta, Honda, Suzuki, and more.
  • Engine fogging to protect cylinders and internals
  • Fuel stabilizer added and run through the system
  • Cooling system flushed and filled with marine antifreeze
  • Lower unit / gear lube drained and replaced
  • Oil and filter change (4-stroke engines)
  • Water systems, livewells, and bilge drained
  • Battery disconnected, tested, and charged
  • Hull, trailer, and drain plug inspection
Jet Skis & PWC
Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner, Kawasaki Jet Ski, and other personal watercraft.
  • Engine fogging through the intake
  • Fuel stabilizer added to a full tank
  • Cooling and exhaust system flushed with antifreeze
  • Jet pump and intake inspected and cleared

Winterization FAQ

When should I winterize my boat on Lake Erie?

Plan to winterize before the first hard freeze, typically from early October through November in Lorain. Booking early gets you a better slot and avoids the late-season rush when temperatures drop quickly.

Do you winterize jet skis and personal watercraft?

Yes. We winterize Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner, Kawasaki Jet Ski, and other PWC models, including fogging, antifreeze through the cooling and exhaust system, fuel stabilization, and battery care.

Do you only service Yamaha engines?

No. Our technicians are Yamaha-certified, but we winterize outboards, sterndrives, and inboards from all major manufacturers including Mercury, Volvo Penta, Honda, Suzuki, and Evinrude.

Can I get shrink wrap and storage at the same time?

Absolutely. Most customers bundle winterization, shrink wrap, and winter storage so the boat is done in one visit and stays at the marina until spring launch.

What if my boat is still in the water or at my house?

Select the haul-out or pickup option on the request form. We can pull your boat at our ramp or arrange transport so you do not have to tow it.

How much does winterization cost?

Pricing depends on vessel type, engine type, number of engines, and which add-ons you choose. Submit the quote request and we will send you an exact price before any work is scheduled.
